The Salty Peanut Gallery

You may have heard the internet chatter over the George W. Bush “Miss Me Yet?” billboard. Many were speculating that the image is nothing more than a clever Photoshop hoax. But apparently Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio has verified that he’s seen it with his own eyes along I-35 near Wyoming, Minnesota.

This has led blogger Wesley Messamore over at the humblelibertarian.com to come up with some interesting variations of his own on the Bush Billboard. Check ‘em out. Here’s my personal favorite.

In light of Obama’s 3.8 trillion dollar budget, here’s a classic illustration of the fiscal lunacy that continues on Capitol Hill. And just look at Nancy Pelosi go. Go, Nancy, Go! I’m just trying to figure out how to get some of that candy to come my way.

You know this ad would almost be funny if it weren’t so sad. Is this a taste of things to come?

So this is what all the fuss was about? REALLY?

Update: Some anger persists after the airing of the ad:

NOW president Terry O’Neill said it glorified violence against women. “I am blown away at the celebration of the violence against women in it,” she said. “That’s what comes across to me even more strongly than the anti-abortion message. I myself am a survivor of domestic violence, and I don’t find it charming. I think CBS should be ashamed of itself.”

You’ve GOT to be kidding me. You CAN’T be serious. Has this woman lost her ever loving mind? I have two words for Ms. O’Neill:
