Byron and I have a friend who is an army lieutenant colonel jag lawyer working at the Pentagon as a liaison to congress. John McCain is the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, so our friend works directly with McCain’s staff on a regular basis. I can’t really share any details, but his experience has been that McCain staffers are habitually heavy handed and abusive, using threats and intimidations to get what they want with complete and utter disregard and disrespect for people to the extent that it would make it very difficult to feel good about a McCain presidency. Maybe that’s how people get things done on Capital Hill, but that’s not the kind of leadership that I want to support.

Don, I saw your post at Byron’s blog about McCain and a “mutual friend” who has talked about dealing with McCain’s office.
Can you provide more detail of what your friend said?
(Please use my email if you’ld like. )
Thank you.
